Our Mission
Our Road-map starts with our mission, which is ensuring. It declares our purpose as an organization and serves as the standard against which we weigh our actions and decisions. With that being said, our mission is ensuring that every child has the right to be educated, to be healthy, and to be happy.
Our Vision
Our vision serves as the framework for our Road-map and guides every aspect of our organization by describing what we need to accomplish in order to continue achieving sustainable, quality growth for every child.
EDUCATE THE CHILDREN – Unable to afford basic school fees and supplies, many school age children have dropped out of school and are roaming the streets of Liberia selling goods to support themselves and their families. Some of these drop-out students are being victimized by abuse or illegal activities. CEAF’s Right-to-School programs help children get back in the classroom with financial assistance to students and by working with parents and educators to reduce truancy. Our efforts also extend to keeping children in school with our after-school tutoring programs and by providing library resources to various schools in Liberia.
KEEP THEM HEALTHY – CEAF’s Right-to-Health programs address the pandemic lack of children health resources in Liberia. This reflects the overall health resource crisis facing Liberia wherein children are the most vulnerable. A healthy child can learn better and will likely grow up happier. Right-to-Health provides at-school health screening and immunization programs for children. We also provide community health programs for new mothers and children not yet of school age.
KEEP THEM HAPPY – Our Right-to-Happy programs reach the most disadvantaged children in Liberian society: Orphans. The lingering impact of Liberia’s civil war, endemic poverty, and the recent Ebola crisis, left many children without one or more parent and to the care of underfunded orphanages. CEAF provides toys, clothing, school supplies, and counseling programs for orphans and their caregivers. We also build playgrounds at various orphanages and elementary schools.
